Death

A person whom I knew died a week or so ago, Now should be the time to make nice comments about them, BUT, this person bullied my partner, got her sacked from her job( forced her to resign) and was generally nasty to her... I Cannot be nice about him, I am glad he is no longer part of our community, Am I being hard, or honest?

What is the point of this post? Come to think of it, what is the point of most of your posts? I agree that death should not make you say kind things of one you have hated - which is why I shall delight when Thatcher croaks - but what are you trying to say here. If you want to make a point against this individual, reveal their name. If you are trying to establish a principle...

You're being honest, nothing wrong with that. Better than the usual hypercritical views whenever someone dies, particularly in the media (look at the sudden turnaround in opinions over Jade Goody & Michael Jackson after they died!).

It is a topic for discussion and as such does not have to have a point. I would agree with Peter, too often in their simpering, the media lavish prise on the late departed despite the fact they may have been rubbishing them previously.

Sympathy and condolences are always due to the bereaved, for even the most despicable are invariably loved by someone, but a bad apple does not suddenly turn good when tossed in the bin.

Was the deceased a member of TDC as it certainly sounds like it.
