Well its that time of year when we all reflect upon the last year, and look forward to the next year.


I sometimes feel that we get so engrossed with our local and national problems that we, as a nation, lose sight of the terrible suffering of people in other lands.

Their problems make our's look like being beaten around the head with a feather duster.

I feel privilaged to be living in Britain, where we mostly have free speech, the NHS, and everything else that goes to make our society.


Finally let us not forget the members of our armed forces , who do the bidding of our government, of whatever political colour, without question.

Snow, what snow?

Living in God's own village of Monkton, I am pleased to say we have been spared the snow.............except that the grand kids want some, Please Santa???????????
