"Cyberspace communities of semi- anonymous and occasionally self-invented individuals have grown up, some of them permitting contact between people who in previous times might have thought each other's interests impossibly exotic or even mad"

I hope his book on 9 11 explores the New York Fire Brigade explanation for the Tower Seven Collapse .....

Something to do with the diesel fuel transfer system of the backup generators Ken. 12000 gallons of diesel being overpumped into the fires consequent on the aircraft impacts not being at all helpful.

Had there been precedents, anomalous overpumps of diesel transfer systems, reported in UK ?

Yes via Roger Evans MP (tory barrister) and via Jonathan Aitken MP.

The Police Force concerned told the Home Secretary later (one Jack Straw) that they had investigated fully ....

So can I assume that they did not investigate fully at all and because of that no modus operandum report went to FBI ? This would be two years before 9 11

No fears. If the FBI had got on to MI5 "What do you know about reported methods of nobbling fuel transfer systems chaps"

"Yes" says MI5 "Simple matter of referring first to the Good Friday Agreement. Stage 3 IRA sabotage techniques ... mmmmm ... oh sorry Tony Blair did not put this in the Peace Agrement for declaration so we don't know to whom expertise may have been taught by our home grown terrorists"

FBI "Well is there anyone you can ask ?"

MI5 "We could write to this chap in Ramsgate ....Kent Police won't be happy though"

Must be off I am just studying two letters I received post 9 11 from a chap calling himself "Denman" at MI5.
