Climate Camps

I look with interest at the folk who are getting hot under the collar at the northern Ebbsfleet. Whilst I would support their right to protest, what I do not support is their action in pitching camp in a farmers field without permission.

If it had been my land I would have decided that now harvest was over the land needed fertilizing, right now. As an organic sort of chap I suppose that would mean spreading organic manure!

More relavent to us, how long before we have our very own protest camp at Richborough. Todays East Kent Mercury warns us that the waste incinerator is yet again a possibility for the old power station site.

As there is (a) no application with our council, and (b) 98% of the site lays within Dover District, I could freely comment. However I won't as once again, it falls on me to talk about facts and not my view point. ( having not seen the full story I have not got one yet)

Sorry that the truth hurts RICK but speaking as someone who works in advertising I can tell you that people would rather read something shorter that is quite interesting, then something otherwise very intersting, but boring because it goes on too long. I am not trying to be nasty Rick. You are a nice bloke, BUT BE TOLD!

If you had waited another six minutes, before gracing the thread with your response,I would have lost my bet.

"BE TOLD" (upper case too) loved it.

The next bet was that I would find out what work you claim to do

I am relying on you now anon because we just did double or quits on your next move.

As we appear to be "off thread" Ken...

Have the Tory Group on Thanet Council met this week? Has there been a challenge to the current leadership from Councillors Moores, Cameron etc.? Is Councillor Ezekiel stepping down? Is a olice investigation under way into these documents that others have claimed are in circulation.

Not asking for your views, just facts.

Ken Gregory said...

There are no secrets, answers 1 yes 2& 3 that is a matter for the conservative group and no other party 4 police are investigating the possible theft of documents.

As far as I am concerned these are public facts, and If you want to know that is fine, I will not divulge any confidential information. I will also say that Sandy has my full support as leader of our group, as would anyone else who was elected to that position

Although we always vote Labour, my wife and I think that Sandy is a good Leader, and has done of lot of good things here in Margate. Of course, it is wise of the Labour group to try to demonise him, Labour wants to be in power, so I don't blame the Labour group-good luck to them

*FOOD FOR THOUGHT*

Bertie (Paul W) seems to have loaded the gun and run. What a blave chap!

Anon 1239, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume a typo on your post. But as r is up the other end of the keyboard, I will be watching. As for bertie, his business is up to him/or her

Anonymous said...

Ken, I don't understand what you mean? sorry!

Michael Child said...

Ken my understanding of the situation is that the documents are being examined by the serious economic crime unit at Kent police HQ, it does rather beg the question, when were the documents reported stolen, who reported the theft and to which police unit?

I hope the typo has nothing to do with a breach of confidence by a councillor as I would imagine all of bloggers ip addresses and hence the identity of all posters, anonymous, deleted, or not, would be available to the serious economic crime unit.

The typo was putting an 'l' where an 'r' should be in the word 'brave' so stop being such a drama queen and get a life
