Health and Safety
I confess to being an ex health and safety officer, but I was appalled to see a comment in today's Times that an 'Expert' says that we should put notices on our beaches that digging tunnels in the sand is dangerous. Without having a go at the parents of the poor lad (age 16) that died, surely parents have a responsibilty to look after their offspring?

Why stop there let's go to the expense of putting sign up ever 200 meters on all roads saying roads are dangerous, force footballs to carry a heath warning about correctly warming up and make all kettles have a fixed notice saying "might be hot" or we could save ourselves a fortune and print a small message in all news papers saying: "people of Britain please use your head, thank you."
Purchased some peanuts today and lo, printed on the packet,'Caution May contain traces of Nuts'.
I bought some sleeping tablets recently & was warned on the packet that they may cause drowsiness! Crazy.
